Overview of research methods; aims and purposes of the praxis; development of praxis research strategies; formulation and defense of a praxis proposal. Praxis proposal defense must be passed before the student is admitted to degree candidacy to undertake praxis work.
Upon completing the course, students will know how to:
1. Define, summarize, and outline a problem description clearly
2. Select appropriate goals for an extended study
3. Identify the data needed for an extended study and where it is to be found
4. Organize and present a strong proposal for defense before a group of decision makers
