Concepts, methods, and applications of network science; Analyzing real networks and related phenomena such as disease propagation, organizational analysis, social power, and fraud detection. Exposure to Python and R scripts prior to enrollment is recommended.
1. Use advanced network analysis methods and tools to visualize and analyze networks. 2. Interpret the results with respect to exploratory, quantitative and substantive questions. 3. Identify and use different formats for network data and choose the appropriate one 4. Use node and network metrics to predict node and network characteristics 5. Carry out subgroup and role analysis to identify a cluster or nodes or specific nodes that are of interest
