Topics covering physical principles of the Earth’s physical geography and natural environment including the hydrosphere, atmosphere, biosphere, and lithosphere. Enrollment requires permission of the instructor.
• Provides a solid foundation for understanding how at least one of the major components (Hydrosphere, Atmosphere, Biosphere, and/or Lithosphere) of the physical environment of earth operates. • Students will understand the spatial pattern and controls over the component(s) of the physical environment that are covered within the class. • Additionally, a basic understanding of the mapping tools and descriptions how they are used to understand the variability of the component(s) of the physical environment is expected.
