Health communication theory, methods of health communication research, and practices of effective health communication campaigns.
1. compare and contrast political, social, and cultural contexts surrounding health communication issues 2. synthesize research from multi-disciplinary fields that intersect with health communication 3. evaluate the application of health communication theories in mainstream health campaigns 4. research a health problem and then create a prevention-based health promotion activity including appropriate steps for its implementation 5. instruct others about the general field of health communication as well as the specific area of public health communication
