Experiential learning prepares students to execute an advertising campaign for entry in the American Advertising Federation's National Student Advertising Competition. Research, media planning, copywriting, and layout and design. Students travel to the competition site. Includes a significant engagement in writing as a form of critical inquiry and scholarly expression to satisfy the WID requirement. Permission of the instructor is required. Corequisite: MKTG 4151W.
Students will learn to:

1. Develop an advertising campaign using a real world client.
2. Work with a team in an experiential environment.
3. Integrate all the knowledge they have learned in other marketing and business courses.
4. Compete with others throughout the country in developing a campaign.
5. Effectively present their ideas through oral and written communication.
On-hands and direct client exposure.
