The incorporation of contemporary strategies, trends, and approaches into the student’s personal practice; learning is informed by the work of contemporary artists who use photography. Materials fee.
1. Confident with the use of a variety of image capture devices and expressively motivated in their selection and use. 2. Comfortable with advanced exposure techniques and related camera operations: including selective Aperture, Shutter, ISO and Compression settings. 3. Organized using file management tools such as Bridge and/or Lightroom. 4. Experienced with the use of a variety of digital tool sets used to systematically process, edit and print (or project) images. 5. Sensitive to historical as well as immediate concerns shaping our relation to images and articulate in discussing them from both practical and theoretical contexts. 6. Comfortable with the use of small, medium and large format inkjet printers, while being aesthetically and conceptually motivated in the selection of print media. 7. Able to create a clear, coherent and thoughtful body of work.
