Master of Arts in the Field of Geography

The following requirements must be fulfilled:

The general requirements stated under Columbian College of Arts and Sciences, Graduate Programs.

Course work must include GEOG 6201 Geographic Thought and Methods and GEOG 6304 Geographical Information Systems I.

Thesis and nonthesis options are available: The thesis option requires a minimum of 30 credits of course work, including Thesis Research; the nonthesis option requires completion of 36 credits of graduate work. All degree candidates must take a Master’s Comprehensive Examination.

Depending upon the chosen field of specialization, each student will select electives from appropriate courses within the department or from related programs and departments within the University or the Consortium of Universities. The student’s program of study will be developed in consultation with the advisor and graduate committee.
